NSF Awards $1.8M for RoboChemistry

The National Science Foundation has funded a project that will allow the Emergent Nanomaterials Lab to team up with the IRON Lab (led by Dan Szafir, UNC Chapel Hill) and the HIRO Lab (led by Alessandro Roncone, CU Boulder) to develop collaborative robots that can provide real-time assistance to synthetic chemists working in the wet lab and improve the quality of life for future workers in the chemical R&D industry.
